At ACFPC we support two types of membership: Local and National.

  • NATIONAL: If you would like to join ACF National, which includes a local membership, please visit the ACF National Website.  The National membership offers many benefits that are not available to local-only members, such as discounts on certification testing, full voting rights, and discounts on conferences.
  • LOCAL: If you would like to join the local chapter, you can download the application here.  At this time, you can only pay with cash/card (in person) or check (by mail), but online application will be available soon.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at acfpittsburgh@gmail.com

ACFPC LOCAL PROFESSIONAL CULINARIAN is  defined by Article III, CLASS 8.

  • SECTION 1 A local professional culinarian and culinarian with minimum of three years full time employment in a culinary profession can be a local member. Cooking experience in the military is recognized as professional.
  • SECTION 2 The local member shall have one half (1/2) vote in local elections and policy making decisions. The local member cannot hold office, but can serve on local committees.
  • SECTION 3 Local members will not have any privileges of the American Culinary Federation (National). Local members shall not display any logo that may represent them as a member of the ACF (National).
  • SECTION 4 Candidates shall file a written application for membership. The application must be signed by one (1) active professional culinarian in good standing and must include the prevailing annual dues.

ACFPC LOCAL STUDENT/JUNIOR CULINARIAN is defined by Article III, CLASS 9.

  • SECTION 1 A local student (a student or apprentice with less than two years full time employment); or junior culinarian (a high school student between 16 – 18 years of age).
  • SECTION 2: A student/junior membership is subject to a limit of four (4) years. The local student/ junior culinarian can serve on local committees. They shall have one fourth (1/4) vote in local elections and policy making decisions.
  • SECTION 3 Local student/junior members will not have any privileges of the American Culinary Federation (National). Local members shall not display any logo that may represent them as a member of the ACF (National).
  • SECTION 4 Candidates shall file a written application for membership. The application must be signed by one (1) active professional culinarian in good standing and must include the prevailing annual dues.

Local Chapter membership comes with many benefits and privileges other than reduced annual dues and voting rights.

  2. Network with those hiring and those in the know.
  3. Take advantage of educational activities in the chapter.
  4. Participate in chapter sponsored competitions and hear the opinions of the cu1inary leaders in Pittsburgh.
  5. Know you belong because you are recognized by industry leaders.
  6. Make lasting friendships with others in your field.
  7. Local Members may attend all local meetings and local chapter sponsored events.
